Definitely a great way to start off the season. Two strong teams competing as if this was a tournament final. Pegasus started of with a 100 run opening stand and then Vijayta fought back to trigger a middle order collapse with Haider, Chetan, Panda and Zeeshan falling in quick time. But it didnt stop there. The vijayta bowling led by Mehul, Dineth, Ravi and Pukar Patel took wickets at regular intervals and it was left to Ali Shafi and Nazim Shirazi to get pegasus to a respectable 239. At one time Pegasus looked like scoring about 270 odd. Great bowling and fielding display by vijayta to restrict pegasus. I must come out and mention 2 excellent catches by Anand in the field.

Starting off Tarun looked rusty having not practiced at all before the start of the season where as Kanishka looked very composed and handled the opening burst of Elmore and Hasan with respectable ease. Tarun having been dropped early started to get out of the blocks when Pritvi Panda making his debut for Pegasus got one to move away off the seam and have Tarun bhoomreddy caught in the slips to a sharp catch my Haider Raza.

However, Ravi and Kanishkas partnership looked like it would take the game away from Pegasus. But Javed Motiwala and Chetan Chenappa had other ideas. They both got together and got rid off Ravi, Kanishka and Mehul in quick time to peg back Vijayta and fight back into the game. With hasan coming back and removing Veman Reddy it looked all but over for Vijayta but Kunal Kapoor and Tiryth the senator Sanyal had other ideas.

Tiryths innings helped greatly by the poor Pegasus fielding easy sitter drops from Ali Shafi and Zeeshan Khamisani gave Vijayta the chance to claw back into the game and Kunal and Tiryth inched closer to victory with 20 runs needed of 18 balls and 4 wickets in hands. It was all but over for Pegaus... But  It was then that Nazim Shirazis direct hit to runout Tiryth (suicidal runout and call) and Shafis catch to get rid off Kunal Off Elmore in successive balls got pegasus back and left Vijayta needing 20 through Suresh, Pukar and Anand. But Elmore and Amanullah decided they would have none of that and shattered the stumps through good fast full deliveries ending an excellent game b/w two teams that are best of friends off the field but equally competitive on.

 Great way to start off the season with a decent crowd watching the game and they were not disappoited as most stayed till the end not knowing which team would come out on top.

 Javed Motiwala for putting the breaks on the Vijayta Middle order. He got 2 wickets but deserved 5 :)
