Pegasus vs Pasadena

A young and dangerous Pasadena side came into their encounter against Pegasus CC hoping to pull off an upset.

On an overcast day Pegasus and Pasadena met at the Marder field. Pegasus won the toss and elected to field. Pegasus made early inroads due to penetrative spell by Panda racking up 3 wickets. Uzzam, Theo and Chetan (1 wicket) kept the pressure on the Pasadena batsmen. Pegasus spin duo put the brakes on while snapping away wickets at regular intervals. Jawaid taking 3 and Mushy taking 1 wicket. Imran Sarwar polished the tail bagging 2 wickets. For Pasadena, Noorali (40), Ali Mukaddam (30) and Zafar (26) pushed the total along, while some lusty hitting in the end by Vishal capped off the Pasadena innings at a respectable 203 all out.

Post lunch , Pegasus came into bat. The top order crumbled under the relentless onslaught from Vishal (4 wickets) and Ricky Singh (2 wickets). At 47 for 5 Pegasus were in grave danger. However, Theo (78 runs) had different ideas. He batted with great determination and gritt, along with solid support from Imran Sarwar (20 runs) and Nazim Shirazi (19 runs) took the Pegasus total closer to the target. Then came the twist. A flurry of wickets had Pegasus reeling again. Jawaid with his 13, and Mushy & Uzzam's last wicket heroics took Pegasus home with 2 balls and 1 wicket to spare. Apart from Vishal, Zafar and Nadir took 1 wicket each.

Pegasus managed to squeeze the game out of Pasadena's determined clutches.
